Larks and Katydids is a photographic exploration of time, memory, the past, and dreams; from the corners of the dusty attic to the album of childhood photos. This exhibition explores the homes of our pasts, the shells we escape to, the images that possess us, and the memories that haunt us. Through photograms, darkroom photography, and cyanotypes, these fragments and memories of dreams are revealed as they are: layered, messy, contradictory, confusing, and ephemeral.
Larks and Katydids is a series consisting of 2 archival pigment prints, 15 gelatin silver prints, 4 gelatin silver photograms, 17 cyanotypes, and one hanging installation consisting of cyanotype-treated wood, transparency film, and thread.
